GPV Facility Sites

GPV has a number of above ground facility sites that are used to manage and control the gas within the pipeline and for emergency isolation purposes. Some of these sites are quite remote and can be some distance from a gazetted road or track. To help with their identification in case or an emergency or query the fences and gates have signs attached describing the asset and location, as well as “What3Word” descriptions. If the three words on the sign at the location are advised to the emergency services or to GPV the exact location can be identified to within 3 metres on a map and greatly help in accurately locating the asset of interest.
